Cabbage is a great source of vitamin C and while many people believe its only use is as a filler or shredded up into coleslaw, cabbage is actually quite versatile when it comes to making into an addition for your dinner table.

Making cabbage into pickle is one of the most appealing and exotic ways of having it. The history of cabbage pickling which varies from Europe to Asia is attractive and also extensive; for example, in Germany, cabbage is the base of the commonly found sauerkraut, and cabbage is also the main ingredient in the savory and spicy kimchee, found in Korea. Learning the skills to pickle cabbage is easy. After chopping the cabbage into a bottle, allow it to ferment by adding water and salt and have it stand in a warm place. This can fundamentally be used as a guide for your own recipe as it is the basic technique used around the world. Adding some vinegar, along with pepper, ginger, garlic or chilies will give cabbage some taste.

Cabbage which have been boiled is excellent for use in soups and stews, as boiling it causes it to discharge sugar and its leaves will become soft and tender, giving out a lovely odor. Using this as a side dish for a main courses like ground beef and rice is another excellent option.

 

Being an excellent source of dietary fiber, you'll learn that in the past, cabbage in general have been used to treat intestinal problems. In fact, cabbage is also a good source of glutamine and is regularly used to heal inflammations.

Cabbage is also frequently used in other dishes as a way to increase solvency and add consistency, as its an effective filler that pulls in the surrounding sauces and flavors. Using cabbage for your upcoming stir-fry is encouraged. You cook it by tossing in the meat, followed by the cabbage and the remaining vegetables, until everything becomes tender. Cooked cabbage, you will also discover, can also be used as wrappers for all sorts of rolls, not mentioning it is also an excellent way for your family to bring in some fiber into their diet.
